Title: "person" in gender-neutral writing Description: The more we master the techniques of gender-neutral writing, the more we develop tricks, particularly inclusive formulations and neutral wording. One such trick is to use the word “person” to neutralize sentences. Sometimes, however, this usage looks unnatural. Are we overusing it? When is it idiomatic, and when isn't it? Come and discuss this with us on Wednesday! Date: Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 12:15 to 1 p.m (ET) Audience: Members only Location: Online Cost: Free for NTE members. Participants will receive the Zoom link by email before the event. Generally restricted to members, our Noon-Hour Chats are sometimes open to the general public. Follow us on Facebook or LinkedIn so you don't miss our next public chat. Better yet, join the NTE to take part in all of our Noon-Hour Chats for free! |
