The NTE Noon-Hour Chats
Last October, the NTE launched the Noon-Hour Chats, a series of informal exchanges on all things linguistic.
During the 45-minute videoconferences, held between 12:15 and 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month, participants discuss everything from education-related terms and challenging idioms to shifting usage and other wordsmithing issues suggested by participants.
Though generally for members only, the chats are occasionally open to non-members, for a nominal fee.
